Jeanette Biles founded Brookland Notary in 2021 during the Covid pandemic with the goal of offering accessible and reliable notary services in Washington, D.C. What began as a response to the community’s need for loan signings and refinancing support quickly expanded into a trusted local resource for apostille services, Department of State authentications, and legal document assistance. Over the years, she has gained valuable experience working alongside attorneys on TOPA paperwork and supporting residents with estate planning and wills.

Her journey started when she realized there were limited notary options in her neighborhood at a time of growing demand. Motivated to fill that gap, Jeanette became a certified loan signing agent through the National Notary Association and taught herself the skills necessary to handle commercial and personal closings, trusts, and prenups. Today, she continues to lead Brookland Notary with professionalism, dedication, and a focus on making complex processes straightforward for families, individuals, and businesses throughout the District.
